Notifications allow Members to receive an email notifying them when a particular action (Create, Edit, Download or Delete) takes place on a Item. Additionally if the Cascade option of a notification action is selected, notifications are sent for any descending Items. Notifications are extremely useful for automatically monitoring activity in a particular area of the application.

By default, the options displayed under the Notification settings are for the Member that selected the Notification action. It is possible to view (or edit if Manage permissions are present) what Notifications are set for other Roles or Members by entering the Role or Members name at the top of the form and clicking the OK button. The form will be reloaded with the Notification settings for that particular Role or Member.
