Calendar

Summarises events and provides an easy to use interface. Use calendars to report on a number of events.

A calendar provides familiar monthly and daily views of events. It is possible to scroll through months in a calendar to select a day to view. A day with an event is highlighted yellow and the current day is highlighted pink. There are three types of Views available in a Calendar to display the list of events:

  1. Daily - this view is divided into hourly slots which display the events. Clicking on one of the hourly slots creates a new Event for that hour.
  2. Weekly - this view is divided into daily slots for the currently displayed week. Clicking on one of the daily slots displays the selected day in the Daily view format.
  3. Monthly - this view is divided into daily slots for the currently displayed month. Clicking on one of the daily slots displays the selected day in the Daily view format.

New events can be added by clicking the "New Event" button or by clicking on the time of the Event in the daily view.

This property is present after a Calendar has been created (in edit mode). A semi-automatic email address is generated by the Application of the form: Username_XXXX. If the XXXX part of the string is specified, when an email to that address is received by the Application, all of the iCalendar attachments are automatically added to the Calendar. Most popular email clients support iCalendar objects. Typically attaching an iCalendar object is performed by creating a new email and then dragging an event from the calendar in the email client onto the new email. For further information on iCalendars, please see the this page at Wikipedia.
