Templates provide a mechanism for storing and reusing Item structures. Administrators are able to build up templates and make them available to Members when they are building their own work areas. Members can also create Templates for their own use. Sometimes a Template will be quite detailed, for instance a Space Template will store the entire skeleton for a Space. In other Templates, such as that for a contacts Database, the Template will be much simpler.
Templates are available for use by Members when they click the "Create" button on a Item. After a Item type is selected a list of templates will be presented if any have been defined for that Item Type, otherwise a blank form will be shown. If a Template is selected it will be copied across to form the basis of the new Item. The structure can then be edited and added to as per usual.
A Member can access the Templates that they have created from the Template area under their My Account page. From here a Member can Edit, Delete and also Download an offline copy of a Template in ZIP format.
