Step 6.1: Email Publishing

Email Publishing

You now have your groups, workspaces and dashboard ready to go, so it’s time to set up a more advanced feature. Sosius offers you the ability to email messages and attachments directly to your workspaces, from wherever you are. There’s no need to be logged in!

Let's return to the Pynk PR example:

  • From your Dashboard, click on the Pynk PR workspace and then click Create
  • From the list of Activities, click Folder and then click Standard Folder
  • In the Title box, type a name for the folder (e.g., Press Releases) and then click OK
  • Beside the name of your new folder, click Edit



  • From the Edit page, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click More



  • You will now see the Publish Email option
  • In the text box, type any name that logically corresponds to the folder (e.g. “pressreleases” and does not include spaces)
  • Click OK
  • From the Team docs page, hover over Item Actions in the upper right-hand corner.

You will notice that a new option appears in the Actions menu: Publish to item via email

  • Click on Publish to item via email

You will now see that you have created an email address, (e.g., ) to which you can send messages and attachments that will automatically appear as pages in your folder

  • Open up your external email account (e.g., Yahoo Mail) and send a message with an attachment to the Sosius email publishing address you created
  • You will soon receive an email from Sosius confirming that your email message has been published to your folder
  • Return to the Press Releases folder in the Pynk PR workspace and you will see that a page has been created that includes the message as well as a link to the attachment

Try setting up email publishing in one of your own workspaces. Let your group members know that this feature has been activated and send them the email publishing address.

Note: Your group members must have Create permissions assigned to them in order for the email to be successfully published.
