Notes for Mac OSX

  • Mac temporary files (e.g. .DS_Store, ._*) will be uploaded into your folders with the use of Mac OSX Finder. (Use Cyberduck to avoid uploading of these files)
  • The Finder does not support Sosius versioning, see important note below.

Important note for Mac OSX users

On Sosius, we automatically create a new file version when a file is replaced. The Mac Finder and most 3rd party WebDAV clients (Cyberduck excluded) upload temporary files when saving documents and delete the existing file. An effect of this is that your previous versions are discarded when you use the Finder to upload/edit files.

This is fine for users who do not require file versions to be automatically created (but also generally works slower).

If you require file versioning, we strongly recommend using Cyberduck. Please see our "Cyberduck guide" in the Recommended Software section.
