Spaces are a key organisational concept as they define the root from which many operations are carried out. Spaces are top level Items in the Application created by Members with the "Can Create Spaces" security level. Once the Space has been created, the Coordinator is able to invite Members into the Space and allocate them roles. If the Coordinator has the "Can Create members in Spaces" security level then new Members can be created and then invited to the Space. The invited Members are then free to create, amend and delete Items according to their permissions.
Properties
- Banner
- The Banner which will appear on the top of the page for the Space.
- Is Listed
- Specifies whether the Space will appear to users who are not members of the space. If this option is checked users will be able to request an invitation to the space. Keeping it unchecked will ensure that your space remains a secret from non-members.
- Allow SignUp
- A Role to which Members can automatically sign up to. If an Application allows Members to Sign Up automatically, Space Coordinators can set the Role that the users sign up to. Use this option if you want new, unknown Members to have access to the Space.
- Invitation
- A greeting message that is sent out to new Members of the Space. When Members are added or invited to the Space, they can be sent an invitation by e-mail containing this message.
